Barrett Hazeltine is an Emeritus Professor at Brown University. During his time at Brown, Prof. Hazeltine's teaching and research interests included social entrepreneurship, management, technology planning for less industrialized countries and appropriate technology. His career has taken him across the globe, and he has taught at universities in Zambia, Botswana, Malawi and a number of other developing nations. Prof. Hazeltine holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan.
Ira Lieberman has worked as a Senior Advisor at the World Bank and as a consultant to the Open Society Institute. Currently, Dr. Liberman is serving as the President of LIPAM International, a consulting firm which he founded. His profession has taken him to countries across the developing world, and one of his major areas of expertise is privatization and restructuring. Dr. Lieberman holds a Doctor of Philosophy in political economy from Oxford University.
Jenny Shilling Stein co-founded the Draper Richards Foundation, which works to identify and support the most talented social entrepreneurs. She currently serves as the foundation's Executive Director, where she is responsible for strategic direction and management of the portfolio. Ms. Stein has served on the board of a number of innovative non-profits, including Kiva.org, Upwardly Global, Taproot Foundation, Room to Read and Design that Matters. She received both her Master of Business Administration and her Master of Education from Stanford University.
Andrew Youn is the founder of One Acre Fund, an organization which brings high-value crop markets within the reach of the poorest Kenyan farm families. One Acre Fund currently works with several thousand farm families in western Kenya. He has been awarded the Draper Richards, Rainer Arnhold and Echoing Green fellowships in social enterprise for his work. Prior to founding One Acre Fund, Mr. Youn led the rollout of an AIDS treatment program in a South African township with Broadreach Healthcare and worked as a consultant with Mercer Management Consulting. He holds a Master in Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
