Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a farmer in rural Kenya, but her crops don't grow. Infertile land and frequent drought make farming nearly impossible. In order to make money, Elizabeth cuts down indigenous trees to sell as cooking charcoal. Millions of people throughout Africa will do the same to survive.

Massive deforestation destroys ecosystems, leading to continued food shortages and poverty. For Elizabeth, this cycle of extreme poverty and ecological destruction threatens her livelihood.

With KOMAZA, Elizabeth can plant drought-resistant trees to sell as high-quality wood products. These trees will restore her land and provide her with unprecedented income. Imagine how Elizabeth's life will change...
