KOMAZA is a nonprofit organization commited to lift rural families out of poverty by helping them grow crops that provide income and restore the environment
KOMAZA helps rural farmers plant small-scale tree farms in Africa's harsh semi-arid regions. Our Microforestry Program creates wealth from unproductive land while restoring the environment. We partner with farmers earning less than $1 per day and provide them with agricultural inputs on credit alongside training, maintenance, post-harvest processing and market access opportunities. Families see their income grow as their barren land transforms. Each farm shares a portion of its profits that is reinvested in helping new families overcome poverty.
